RELATE ITN Kick-Off Meeting in Karlsruhe

The RELATE ITN Kick-Off Meeting took place on March 31 and April 1 at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in Karlsruhe, Germany.

Representatives of the project partners from 5 different countries attended the meeting where the project plan and recruitment process were discussed.

The "RELATE" Marie Curie Integrated Training Network (ITN) on Engineering and Provisioning of Service-Based Cloud Applications (http://www.relate-itn.eu) was launched recently (see press release) within the EU FP7 'People' Programme.

As part of the newly formed ITN, we are seeking to recruit Early Stage Researchers (PhD candidates) and Experienced Researchers (PostDoc fellows) under employment contracts with full social security coverage, with living allowance and maximum duration of employment 3 years for PhD candidates and 2 years for PostDocs. In accordance with EU gender policy, the candidacy of women is strongly encouraged.

At Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, three full-time PhD positions are currently open in the following areas:

1. Dependability for Software-as-a-Service (SaaS)
2. Resource Modelling in Virtualised Cloud Service Infrastructures
3. Performance Prediction for Mashup Services
